Stop Being Too Nice

It's not okay to always be so nice to people. It's cute but isn't helpful at all. The truth is it even brings a lot of trouble to the person who frequently tries to be "good". You have to understand that, in this world, it's survival of the fittest. This means that people will do anything to survive. To hold on and enjoy life, you'd be surprised to know how many are willing to take advantage of others for as long as possible. This is completely natural, on the other hand, so there's nothing to complain about. It's only up to you to respond favorably to being taken advantage of so that people won't walk all over you. So what can you do to help yourself if you've noticed that you're almost always being "too nice" to people and that you're already having issues because of it? There are a lot of practices that you could do so that you'll be able to develop your personality and character to your advantage. Here are some of...

Focusing on Self-Defense This Year

One of the things that I want to focus on this 2021 is learning how to better defend myself. Because of civil unrest and people's desperation, folks may turn against one another. It's completely natural, though, as often folks prioritize their survival over others. You don't know what's going to happen so it would be best to be careful. In the news, there are riots going on. So, with that in mind, it's better to be prepared for anything at all. This means that it's important to be ready if ever someone takes advantage of you. Since you don't know who's got the will to do bad deeds, it pays to be a bit suspicious of everyone somehow. This doesn't mean that you must have a serious paranoia. Rather, it would be ideal to be cautious as a person. As part of my preparation, I plan on studying punching and kicking in general. I plan on exploring the different kinds and pick the best ones to use. This also implies that I don't intend to be tied down to a...

Busy During the Holidays

Some professionals get to rest during the holidays while others continue to work. I belong to those who keep going during festivities. The nature of my work involves me being compelled to stay functional during the days when a lot of people are resting. How does it make me feel? It does affect me in the sense that I too want to rest. But, knowing that I'm holding a job, I don't feel bad at all. At least I'm working while others aren't. Though many have paid leave privileges, there are also those who have to function to earn their keep. That's just the way it is. I guess the bit of envy comes from not being able to relax as much as others do. As always, to get by, I think of the positive aspects of my situation. That's to say I'm thankful that I'm employed. Also, I'm grateful that I have other things to do than laze around all day. Call it sour grapes but I'm serious about appreciating my circumstance.

Adapting to the New Lifestyle

Making Work From Home Adjustments Working indoors means doesn't only mean being functional for several hours. It means taking on tasks while attending to household matters. Unlike working in an office, you can't just sit and do your job in front of your desk. You still have to take care of what goes on inside of your home. It'd been tough at first but I managed to adapt. Although I'm living alone at the moment, in a way, I'm thankful. I could only imagine how it would have been, had I lived with my parents, or if I had a spouse and children. This quarantine, I'm on my own and I'm thankful. It's a good thing that I have a computer with a microphone and earphones too. Having such keeps me preoccupied and alive altogether. That's because I have an online job that pays a decent amount of money to keep me alive because of my gadgets. Still, though I'm with no one but myself, it has been a bit difficult. That would be due to not having any help ar...
