Never Underestimate Your Opponent

Keep it real. In every fight, whether it's in an official tournament or the streets, you should never underestimate your opponent. At all times, keep your eyes on the person. Be watchful and pay attention to his or her movements. It's only when you time your attacks and defenses wherein you could end up being triumphant. Yet remember that there's the element of luck that plays an integral role too. Since anything could happen, you simply have to be ready to respond favorably. Rise when you fall and dominate when you're winning. Never underestimate your enemy. Set Your Goals Your objective in all combats is to win. It should be that. But, aside from gaining the upper hand, you must also consider incapacitating your opponent. After all, a person may retaliate after being defeated. Still, you need to consider how you're going to prevent your adversary from ever attacking you. It isn't that simple when you're fighting against another human being because humans a

Inspirational Classic Video Games for Arnis Training

When it comes to stick fighting, you ought to do more than practice. To keep yourself interested in the art, learn or create some moves, and become inspired to do better, you may want to try playing some video games. But don't just play any games. Go for those that heavily make use of hand-held weapons such as blades, long poles, and even escrima sticks. In playing, you not only get relief but also the opportunity to improve your reflexes and simulate fighting through a game character. If playing some titles is what appeals to you, you should try checking out some Neo-Geo games that I personally recommend to kali practitioners: The Last Blade The Last Blade 2 Samurai Shodown Samurai Shodown II Samurai Shodown III: Blades of Blood Samurai Shodown IV: Amakusa's Revenge Samurai Shodown V Samurai Shodown V Special Samurai Shodown VI

Some Self Defense Thoughts this November 2020

I've been reading a lot of martial arts lately and even started practicing arnis, escrima or kali again. Why? I can't shake off this feeling that something's about to happen. I'm someone who promotes optimism and positiveness but there are just some things that bring out the defensiveness in me. Because of the limited resources right now and the present condition of the economy, I'm just making myself ready for anything. You can't expect people to just sit and do nothing about their problems. Countries in need of resources and that have different political interests may have serious disagreements and such. It comes as no surprise why so many in the world right now are thinking that some nations are ready to overpower others. But this isn't to say that it's just to be paranoid nowadays. These are only practical ideas. Because of the possibility that trouble may surface, I started working on my self-defense skills again. It's not even only because oth

Miley Cyrus' Party In The U.S.A. for President-Elect Joe Biden

Image
This is to congratulate president-elect Joe Biden for winning the 2020 presidential race. He's going to be the 46th president of the United States of America and a lot of people are so happy. Just use Google to search for the results and you'll find that what I'm saying is exactly true. He won with 290 electoral votes versus Donald Trump having only 214. Many are saying that the Democrats cheated but Republicans have yet produced sufficient and significant evidence to back such a claim. January 20, 2021 will be the inauguration day and the world is looking forward to it. Congratulations, sir Joe Biden! I too am looking forward to it!
