I just heard this song and it makes me feel sad and depressed somehow. The theme of it, I'd say, is about the bleakness and irony of certain situations. It's so easy to connect to it and I don't even know if that's a good thing entirely. But I guess, sometimes, we all have to wallow in feelings of weakness and defeat. There's nothing more to it than to pretend that it's all okay and sing along for now.
